Born in Leytonstone, East London in 1994.
Raised in Rye, East Sussex.
Winni moved back to London to live in Shoreditch in 2014 when she started studying BA Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins. Specialising in Illustration in Stage 2 of the course, she soon focussed solely on Photography and continued to explore reportage and documentation in the field.
"My current portfolio demonstrates my ability to report on and illustrate a narrative or issue through documentary photography using different techniques. I aim to communicate through straightforward and accurate representation of people, places, culture and events and develop my ideas in both analogue and digital. I am also interested in the link between data, statistics and image and use photography to bridge the gap.
More recently, I have become increasingly aware of being able to use the camera as a tool for social change and to shed light on injustice. Social Documentary Photography is definitely an area I am eager to explore further in the future to persuade and to educate an audience on generally unreported narratives."
